Claire was exposed to yoga at a young age when she was brought along to classes with her mother, but only fell in love with it after an illness forced her to stop swimming in high school. Claire quickly developed a regular practice and began to devour information about yoga and anatomy. After trying different styles of yoga she decided to pursue her RYT-200 certificate in CYoga with Carmen Aguliar at The Lab in Chicago. Since obtaining her certificate over 3 years ago Claire has had the privilege of working at The Lab, Bridges Rock Gym, teaching children at Tallgrass Sudbury School, and currently teaches at Vertical World.
Claire seeks to keep her classes fun and engaging, while maintaining a sense of self-awareness and respect for ones body. Each one of her classes focuses on a theme that gives students time to explore their body's potential for that practice. Claire likes to incorporate pranayama as well as physical adjustments when she teaches in order to assist students into a deeper practice. You can expect time at the end of each of Claire's class to unwind and rest in order to integrate the practice and recharge.
Outside of practicing and teaching yoga, Claire is a passionate foodie. She is a certified Natural Chef, and a full time student of Dietetics at Seattle Pacific University. In her free time Claire likes to recipe test, rock climb, and dance.
