Picture

Christina Crane, LMP

Christina Crane graduated from the 650-hour program at Port Townsend School of Massage and holds a Washington state professional massage license (MA60235998). She specializes in Swedish relaxation, deep tissue, hot stone, and pre/postnatal massage as well as some injury treatment.

Christina's strength lies in her gentleness, compassion, and ability to slow down, giving the body the space and time it needs to unwind. Her sessions are customized for each client beginning with postural assessment to determine your unique imbalances and holding patterns. She enhances deep tissue work through relaxation and conscious breathing based in yogic practice to achieve deeper, longer lasting changes within the body. Whether you seek relaxation or relief from pain and tension, Christina is passionate about working with you to achieve your massage goals.

Carol Osborne's' Pre- and Perinatal Massage Certification (2011) and deep tissue workshops round out Christina's continuing education. She is currently enrolled in the Advanced Certification for Orthopedic Massage at Port Townsend School of Massage.

Christina is available Saturdays, 10:00 - 4:00pm

Rachel Kaplan, LMP, CCST

Rachel integrates the philosophy and deep sensitivity of Craniosacral Therapy into all of her Deep Tissue Massage and Injury Treatment sessions, giving special attention to the client's structure, ease of breath, and health of the nervous system. Each session is specifically created to address your needs on that day. By listening and responding to the rhythms of your tissues, Craniosacral Therapy can help alleviate stagnation that causes pain and discomfort, allowing the body to unwind in its own unique way. Rachel is honored to have the opportunity to work with people in an intimate, honest, and creative way, and is grateful for the trust of her clients in allowing her to guide them through their healing process.

Rachel completed the Foundations Forrest Yoga Teacher Training in 2004. Passionate about the power of touch as a healing tool, Rachel continued her exploration of healing, studying at the Brian Utting School of Massage 2005-06 and completing Pat O'Rourke's Craniosacral Therapy Certification 2010-11. She has been practicing bodywork in Seattle for the past 5 years, focusing on injury treatment and the relationship of pain and discomfort to the alignment of the body. She has experience working with people pre and post surgery, as well as those who have been injured in motor vehicle and other accidents. She finds great reward in holding a safe and relaxing space, allowing her clients to take a break from their normal day-to-day activities, find peace, learn, and bring new tools with them as they go.

As a life student, Rachel continues to grow and feed her spirit, learning to break habitual patterns, invite new challenges, and open her heart to colorful creative possibilities. She enjoys the study of her own mind-body connection through rock climbing, triathlon, snowboarding, yoga and dance, and finds grounding and inspiration through gardening, meditation, cooking and by maintaining a playful curiosity of this world.
