Rebecca Roe Johnson grew up in North Carolina, where she pursued a career in dance from an early age. While attending the University of North Carolina School of the Arts for ballet, she was introduced to Pilates and yoga practices as forms of conditioning. When Roe later decided to attend college, she moved to Asheville, North Carolina. Here, yoga became a new source of movement, inspiration, freedom, and empowerment. Since then, she has been growing in her practice and savoring the experience. Most recently, she worked abroad at Kali Yoga Retreat in Italy, and Mazagan Resort in Morocco.
Roe trained in Vinyasa Flow with Stephanie Keach and the inspiring instructors at Asheville Yoga Center, and is looking forward to continuing her training in Seattle. In her classes Roe aims to create an inviting and playful atmosphere to encourage students to explore the potential of yoga on and off their mats.
