Clara Scudder-Davis is a contemporary circus artist specializing in hand balancing and contortion. She has a background in dance, theater and singing and is currently studying at L’Ecole de Cirque de Quebec in their four year professional program. She also has trained with Yury Bozyan (L’Ecole Nacionale de Cirque), Nael Jammal (Les 7 Doigts De La Main) and Vita Radionova (Kiev). She completed the Pre-Profesional Program at the School of Acrobatics and New Circus Arts in Georgetown. At SANCA she went on to teach flexibility and contortion in the pre-professional program, and adult handstand classes. Her goal as a circus artist is to bring vulnerability, authenticity and playfulness to her work, and to connect diverse peoples through art. As a teacher she enjoys helping students to push their limits in a safe and constructive way.
